France launched a massive air strikes on the Islamic State group’s de-facto capital in Syria Sunday night, destroying a jihadi training camp and a munitions dump in the city of Ragga, where Iragi intelligence officials say the attacks on Paris were planned. Meanwhile, as police announced seven arrests and hunted for more members of the sleeper cell that carried out the attacks. Police said they were seeking a Belgian-born man, Abdeslam Salah, in connection with the brutal terrorism that killed 132 people and wounded 349 others. French authorities found the bodies of seven killers on Friday, but the Islamic State claimed there were eight attackers.

A judicial source said Salah, a 26-year-old French national, had rented out one of the two cars, a Volkswagen Polo, that was found not far from the Bataclan hall. In a sign that at least one gunman might have escaped, a source close to the investigation said a Seat car believed to have been used by the attackers had been found in the eastern Paris suburb of Montreuil with three rifles inside. Meanwhile, France has said it is in a state of war and has vowed to defeat IS in its bases in Irag and Syria, which French warplanes have been targeting for months as part of a U.S.-led campaign against the self-declared caliphate.
