BEAULIEU-SUR-MER · Things to Do & See · History · Transport

Set between the sea and mountains, Beaulieu-sur-Mer delights visitors and is regarded as one of the most beautiful towns on the Côte d’Azur. The tangible proof of this is that from the beginning of the Nineteenth Century, crowned heads flocked here. Beaulieu-sur-Mer is very sought after by celebrities and has become the quintessential holiday destination in winter. Gradually, tourists arrived in their turn and the seaside resort is a roaring success in the summer season.

Its beaches, edged with a great variety of exotic plants, prove the clemency of its climate and its quality of life. A park planted with over 100 ancient olive trees is a chance to find beauty and peace and quiet just a stone’s throw from the sea.

Beaulieu-sur-Mer offers all the assets of top-end Côte d’Azur, with its luxury shops and high quality hotels and restaurants which attract an international clientele.

Town hosts two major festivals, Les Nuits Guitares and the Les Violons de Légende; also it offers all range of water sports, and a superb tennis club with clay covered courts.

There are two marinas in Beaulieu-sur-Mer. The Port de Fourmis is smaller and picturesque, it lies between the beach and Villa Kerylos; the larger Port de Beaulieau-sur-Mer, which houses over 800 boats, is one of the busiest ports on the Côte d’Azur.
